K-Mars Optical, established in 1995, is an independent family-owned laboratory and optical products distributor, with a state-of-the-art production facility providing Eye Care Professionals with a complete solution for all their practice needs. Our goal is to provide our customers with the most advanced products at the most competitive prices, offering top notch customer service and most user friendly online management solution.
DIGITAL- FREE FORM PRODUCTION
K-MARS manufactures in-house, a complete line of digital single vision and multi- focal Free Form lens products, offering a wide range of options and designs. All prescriptions lenses are produced on state of the art digital –Free Form equipment giving K-MARS the ability to manufacture with the utmost accuracy and precision. Our proprietary KM EXPLORER line of freeform digital lenses especially KM Explorer HD Ultimate are a perfect compliment to any branded designs offering patients a lens option with superior performance at a price competitive to big box retailers. For brand conscious partners/customers we manufacture wide variety of Shamir and Seiko lenses which when combined with our premium AR coatings offer top of the line performance at the most affordable price.
IN HOUSE AR COATINGS
K-Mars produces a variety of basic, premium and blue light blocking anti-glare coatings. Our premium anti-glare coatings combined with super scratch resistant hard coat, and a primer will extend the life of the coating. Our premium coatings also include hydrophobic, oleo phobic layers to repel water and oil to make them extra scratch resistant and easy to clean, another great benefit is the back side UV absorbing layer to insure that unwanted UV is not reflected back. The latest addition to our AR coating family is Blue Diamond AR that blocks harmful UV and harmful blue light while providing superior AR performance. All of our premium AR coatings come with 2 years no questions asked warrant
STOCK FINISHED LENSES
As one of the largest stock finished lens houses in southern California (500,000 pairs of lenses in stock), K-MARS carries a wide variety of materials and indexes including: CR39, Polycarbonate, 1.56, 1.60, 1.67, 1.74, Transitions VII and Photochromic with basic and premium AR coatings which enables us to supply our customers with lenses at affordable prices and quick turnaround. We also carry the widest range of extended cylinders for Polycarbonate available on the market today. K-Mars Optical stays on the cutting edge of finished lens solutions recently introduced Blue Armor, a proprietary blue light filtering lens material that outperforms many similar products on the market.
FRAME AND LENSES PACKAGES
K-Mars Frame and Lenses package program is one of the unique tools that enable ECP’s to provide patients with a complete pair of eyeglasses as fast as next day at most affordable price, while cutting significantly shipping and inventory management expenses, allowing our partnering ECP’s to compete with big box and online optical retailers.
